About SPIRIT WORK
what is SPIRIT WORK?
My belief is that we humans are body, soul, and spirit. We spend a lot of energy managing our body and soul, but our spirit is a largely unknown, unexplored part of ourselves.
While EPT is my favorite tool for healing the emotions, I’ve found working with the human spirit to be an effective and fast-tracked way to shift the whole self. Your spirit is made of light, like God is light. It is the deposit of God’s nature in you, waiting to bring life to your whole being. It is your core self.
Your spirit can be hurt or damaged just like your soul and body, but how would you know? When we work with the human spirit, we engage our imagination and spiritual senses with the guidance of God’s spirit. You may not have much confidence about being able to see/hear/sense/know, but I will guide you through the process and make it as easy as I can.
“A picture is worth a thousand words”
Imagery helps us understand our dynamic inner spiritual world. There is so much to explore! There is a whole landscape with fields, mountains, sounds, water, wind, structures, and more. The condition of this realm gives us clues as to what has been going on with your spirit and what it might need. No two people are the same because it is unique to you and your experience. We partner with God to bring more life into exactly the places where your spirit needs it.
We can also check on each of the 7 facets of your human spirit. Like it takes 7 colors to make 1 rainbow, they’re aspects of your personality. Each part brings different natural abilities and skills to your whole person, so we want them all healthy, happy, and functioning well. If we find aspects that are injured, weak, bound, or missing, we partner with God to restore them.
The results are subtle but significant shifts. I’ve heard people say:
-
I’ve found my voice again - I can speak up for myself.
-
It’s easier to connect with Jesus now.
-
Everything seems to be flowing better in my life.
-
I feel more stable now…things that used to send me into a tailspin don’t have that much power anymore.
-
I’m remembering my dreams.
-
Before I felt so stuck, but now I see what I need to do to move forward.
-
I don’t reject that part of myself anymore; I see that it is good.

How many sessions?
While one session is extremely valuable, I recommend committing to a series of 3 to 5 sessions, depending on your needs. These are usually spaced 1-3 weeks apart.

Most of our sessions will be 90 minutes long - twice the usual time offered in talk therapy. I find that my clients appreciate having more time to talk with less pressure, and it allows us to do deeper work.

Virtual sessions
One of the silver linings of the Covid-19 epidemic has been the more widespread use of virtual meetings. I’m no longer limited to only the folks in my geographic area; I’m able to serve clients all over the world. My clients love being in the comfort of their homes for their sessions, enjoying the support of their pets, their favorite place to sit, and without the pressure of the commute time.

You’ll want to treat our online session like you would an in-person appointment. Do your best to minimize incoming notifications and distractions. Find a private, comfortable place to talk.
All you need is a sufficiently charged device (or a power cord) with internet access and a camera and mic so you can follow the meeting link for our session. I can see your face, and you can see mine, because we humans need connection.
